• Through the Seeking Safety program, residents learned cognitive behavioral therapy techniques for coping with trauma and addiction in support of lifelong sobriety and healthy living.
• The Oxford House communal living model—a self-run, self-supported recovery environment—was established to support Maggie’s Place residents in creating a strong and safe community of empowered individuals.
• Child enrichment programming and community outings promoted resiliency, family-building, positive parent-child interactions, and social connection. Once COVID-19 hit, the shift to in-home activities reduced the isolation and loneliness that often leads to relapse and harmful behaviors.
