Four Priorities, One Healthier Arizona

We make our state’s greatest health challenges our priority. The Foundation partners with changemakers to improve mental health, chronic
conditions, health equity, and overcome substance use disorder.

Advancing Health Equity

Barriers like low income, unstable housing, lack of access to healthy food can stand between Arizonans and a healthy life.

In 2024, the AZ Blue Foundation helped deliver nearly a million social drivers of health services – like nutrition and shelter support. Our donations to Undue Medical Debt have helped erase over $17 million in medical debt for thousands in Arizona.

Why It Matters

Where you live, your income, or your background shouldn’t determine your health. Health equity means everyone has a fair shot at living a healthy life – and when that happens, entire communities thrive.

  • 1 in 5 children in Arizona face food insecurity
  • Over 14,000 Arizonans are experiencing homelessness
  • The life expectancy in Scottsdale is 85, while it’s 71 in South Phoenix, only 13 miles away
