Grants
Funding opportunities at a glance
The AZ Blue Foundation is adapting to meet Arizona’s most urgent needs.
Due to ongoing uncertainty around federal funding, grant availability, and essential services, the Foundation is taking a more targeted approach to how we distribute support.
Guided by conversations with fellow funders, community partners, and academic institutions, we have moved to an invitation-only grant process to focus on the most critical needs facing our communities right now.
We will continue to work with the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) to manage grant applications and administration. All Arizona-serving nonprofits, academic institutions, and recognized government entities applying for AZ Blue Foundation funding must have an active account with ACF.

The Thiru Family Trust Momentum Maker grant was created to inspire new paths to mental health and well-being in Arizona.
Each year, we will identify a specific area of mental health-related need—then award one grant package to help meet the need. For 2026, the grant is valued at $45,000.
Applications accepted from June 2, 2026, through 4 p.m. Arizona Time on July 2, 2026. Get all the details.
The AZ Blue Foundation will offer funding through an invitation-only grant process during 2026. Those invited to apply will be provided with a link to the application.
Funding will target:
- Healthcare access, including healthcare workforce training
- Emerging and urgent mental health and substance use disorder prevention
- Social drivers of health, including education, heat relief, and housing
AZ Blue Foundation staff will communicate directly with organizations that qualify for these funding opportunities. For more information, please contact the Foundation team at [email protected].
The AZ Blue Foundation is adapting its funding process for charitable events in 2026. The Foundation will identify needs and activate partners to impact Arizona’s most critical health challenges during two application windows:
- January 1 – 31 (in support of spring events)
- June 1 – 31 (in support of fall events)
We will continue to work with Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) to manage funding requests. All Arizona-based nonprofits seeking support from the Foundation must have an active account with ACF. Please be prepared to upload a copy of your IRS Form W-9. Questions? Contact [email protected].
